U13-1 Coach Meg Herrera
I began playing volleyball in 6th Grade. I placed at state in High School back in Colorado and played 4 years of MIAC and Div III college ball for St. Scholastica in Duluth. After college I played several years of USAV women’s volleyball and Co-ed ball. I also coached a U14 JO team when I lived up north and coached and been a parent supervisor for spring league here in River Falls. I am a physical therapist and although I cant treat injuries as a coach, I am skilled in movement learning and can teach the girls exercises and activities that work to prevent the common injuries in volleyball. I also know several athletic taping techniques. I am very passionate about volleyball and am happy to share my passion with the girls.
U13-2 Coach Julie Harrington
My name is Julie Harrington, I live in Roberts, WI. I am a cytogeneticist at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. I have two daughters Kelly, a junior at Madison and Abby a freshman at LaCrosse. I have coached volleyball, basketball and softball at the youth level, high school softball and this year I coached the freshman volleyball squad at Hudson HS. I play co-ed and women’s volleyball throughout the year as well as tournaments. I look forward to coaching the girls and help to improve their skills and continue to improve on my coaching skills. I appreciate the opportunity that Rage has given me to coach and share my passion for the game.
U14-1 Coach Fred Barr
Fred Barr started playing volleyball at Hillsdale College in Michigan in 1983 and has been the assistant varsity volleyball coach at River Falls the past six seasons. Fred began coaching youth volleyball in River Falls in 2003 and also coached three seasons for Kokoro Volleyball Club in the Twin Cities. Fred and his wife Diane have lived in River Falls for 17 years with their children; Zoe, a nutrition major and senior middle blocker at St Catherine’s University in St Paul; Sam, a business major and sophomore baseball player at The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul; and Isabelle, sophomore varsity setter for the River Falls Wildcats.
U14-2 Coach Haley Ludwig
Hello! My name is Haley Ludwig and this will be my 5th year coaching and my 3rd year with Rage. A little about myself is I attend the university UWRF for my major in Field Biology and minor with conservation/GIS and I am currently a senior. I have been playing volleyball since 4th grade both on and off season. I love sharing my experiences and teaching what I have been taught throughout my years playing & coaching for what I think works the best. I have coached ages 11, 13, 15 year olds. I also just got done with my first season coaching the 8th grade for the River Falls school district which was an amazing experience. I’m so excited to have another year with rage and hopefully make it the best one yet! (:
U14-3 Coach Maria Furlong
Hi my name is Maria Furlong and I grew up in Red Wing, MN. I am currently attending the University of Wisconsin- River Falls majoring in Elementary Education. I was the assistant coach for the 13’s club team in Red Wing my senior year. I spent 13 years as a competitive gymnast and then found my love for volleyball in 8th grade. I was the starting libero on my high school team my sophomore, junior and senior year and also the team captain and defensive player of the year both my junior and senior year. I can’t wait to work with the girls and help them grow as a player and person.
U15-1 Coach Katrina Anderson
This is Katrina Anderson’s 1st year coaching with Rage. She played volleyball formally for 7 years and in intramurals/casually during college. She has been married to her bearded husband, Peter, for 4 ½ years and they just moved to River Falls this January and LOVE the community here. She has a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and is now a graduate student studying healthcare business administration. She loves working at HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research supporting communication efforts for educational programs which include medical students, residents, fellows and advanced practice trainees. She is passionate about team communication and multiplying talent. She was inspired by her two sisters, Kathryn (16) and Kaleigh (14), to be an encouraging coach not only for the love of volleyball but for the well-being of young women’s self-images.
U16-1 Coach Geoffrey Snyder
Geoffrey Snyder enters his 4th year as a coach at RAGE Volleyball Club, having coached at the 16’s, 17’s, and 18’s levels, along with Junior Varsity Volleyball for the last two years at Spring Valley High School. In addition to coaching junior’s volleyball, he is a 5th year member and 4th year Assistant Coach for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Men’s Club Volleyball team. Originally from Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin, he is now in his 5th year at UWRF majoring in Dairy Science with minors in Food Science and Chemistry.
U16-2 Coach Hali Tasler
Hello, my name is Hali Tasler. I am currently a Junior at the University of River Falls WI majoring in secondary math education and minor in computer science. I am from Windom, MN. I started playing volleyball in 5th grade for Windom Zeds club team. I started on the Windom varsity team in 9th grade. On varsity, I played libero, right-front, and outside. I made all-conference my Junior and Senior year in high-school. I played on the University of Wisconsin River Falls volleyball team my freshman and sophomore year. My freshman year, I was nominated as top female freshman athlete of the year. My sophomore year, I was awarded hardest worker. I love volleyball and I am very excited to coach this year
U18-1 Coach Liz Olson
Hi my name is Liz Olson, and I grew up in Lino Lakes, MN. I am in my second year at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls pursuing a degree in Psychology and Communication Studies. This is my second season coaching at Rage Volleyball Club, and my third season coaching JO volleyball. This past fall I also coached the B-Squad at Hill-Murray School, and really enjoyed the energy of the season. I hope to see the same energy for the upcoming season! I have played volleyball for 7 years as an outside, and am currently a member of the UWRF Women’s Club Volleyball Team. I absolutely love volleyball, and I am very excited to coach again this year!
