The Power League doesn’t announce the play day (Saturday or Sunday) or the play time (AM or PM) until the week before the tournament.  Each team will communicate this information as soon as it is announced.

 

HOME TOURNAMENT INFO:

Come and play in the third annual RAGE Rally Volleyball Tournaments in River Falls, WI!

This tournament is sanctioned by the Badger Region of USAV (Sanction # Pending.)

Entry fees are $110 per team. Closing date is TBD.

There are 2 dates to play. 

U15 – U18   January 22, 2017 — River Falls High School
U13 – U14  February 4, 2017 — Hudson High School

The gym will open at 7:00 AM. Each tournament will begin at 8:00 AM and consist of 3 or 4 team pool play followed by upper and lower brackets in the afternoon. There will be no coaches meeting. Warm-up and game balls will be provided. Pool play and schedules will be posted by the Wednesday before the tournament.  Certified Officials will be provided for gold bracket semi and final matches. Prizes will be awarded to tournament champions. Play is anticipated to end around 5:00 PM. Admission for spectators is $4 for adults and $3 for students.There will be full concessions, no outside food or beverages.

Warm up schedules will begin with a 10 minute warm-up when the match is the first of the day for either team (2 minutes shared court, 4 minutes for serving team, 4 minutes for receiving team). The following matches will have 6 minute warm ups. (2 minutes shared court, 2 minutes for the serving team, 2 minutes for the receiving team). Warm-up balls and game balls will be provided.

Pool play and bracket matches will be 2 out of 3 games. First two games will be to 25 points and must win by 2 points. Any 3rd game will be 15 points and must win by 2 points. Teams will switch sides at 8 points. Pool play finishes will be determined by wins and losses. Any ties will be broken first by head to head competition, then by % of matches won, % games won, total point differential, and then coin flip if necessary. When scheduled to referee, teams will be required to supply a coach as the first referee and players as second referee, line judges, scoring, book, and libero tracker. During bracket play, the team assigned to ref will be one of the losing teams that did not advance to the game being played.
